After a long period of preparation, we installed new wooden columns on the porch of the main building of the Kiiskilä manor. The columns are made of hand-cut Vologda pine, delivered to the manor two years ago. A team of carpenters-restorers gave the columns the necessary shape, after which the columns were dried for a long time in a warehouse protected from the sun. Now the course of restoration work has already required the installation of columns into their historical position, since the portico of the main building will rest on them. The installation of the columns was carried out with the help of the virtuoso excavator driver Alexander Rastegaev - this allowed us to avoid the use of a hired crane.
